Claire Moriarty is a recent graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Architectural Design. She has a wide range of interests and experiences. She spent time in the Mesa Verda area of Colorado working with the Anasazi Heritage center recording archaeological sites through hand drawing and photo modeling. She also spent time analyzing Baltimore’s flood zones and vacant houses to propose a future city plan as part of the SEES research team. She took time off school to design a house for her property in northern Maine and try her hand at cob and timber frame construction. She also spent time learning about origami engineering as part of her senior thesis constructing a deploy-able prefabricated structure. Claire Moriarty’s constant curiosity and enthusiasm for new experiences has lead her to develop a diverse set of skills that is continually expanding.
